Liz Park Studio
Originally from Pennsylvania, Liz moved out to the Tetons after graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2006 with a B.F.A in Painting. She lived and worked as a wrangler at the Gros Ventre River Ranch, a guest ranch outside of Jackson Hole, WY for several seasons.
A move over the pass to Victor, Idaho on the 'other' side of the Tetons brought snowboarding into her life, and continues to provide an endless source of material for new pieces. As of early 2017, Liz and her dog named Zep relocated to Bellingham, WA. She is very excited for all the artistic opportunities the Pacific Northwest has to offer - mountains, water, really big trees, and possibly Sasquatch.
Her current medium of choice is acrylic paint on varnished wood panels - she uses a simplified color palette, and plays with negative space letting the wood grain show through to create interesting compositions centered around wildlife, western life, and snow culture. Liz also loves to draw and dabble with watercolors and pen and ink to bring to life the parade of ever increasingly strange things that ramble through her mind to make hats, stickers, and other unique items.
